11.30.12

November 30th finally arrived! My goodness, weddings take so much work... but then the day arrives and it's all completely worth it.  I woke up super early to give myself plenty of time to get ready. So of course I take my precious time and end up rushing the last half hour. That is how it always works right? Me and my parents picked up Scottie and all 4 rode together to the temple in the morning.  It was crazy seeing Scottie that morning and knowing we only had about an hour left before we would be married.  Such a good morning.

We arrived at the temple and filled out some paperwork before they told me and Scottie to say our goodbyes while we changed, and that the next time we saw each other it would be time to be married.  What a crazy feeling.  Me and my mom went into the Bride's room to change and got to take our time and just talk a little bit.  This whole morning did not even seem real.  I had waited literally my whole life for this day!

 I went and met up with Scottie again and we got to be alone for a few minutes while we waited for all of our family and friends to be ready.  We sat and talked and just tried to soak it all in.  The sealing was beautiful.  I tried to keep it together but I only lasted about 3 minutes.  I cried the entire time, along with my mom and I think a few others :) I can't imagine getting married any other way than in the temple.  It was so spiritual and just amazing to be surrounded by all the people we love.  Everyone congratulated us and then we had to split up again! ha I went back to the Brides Room. (Draper Temple's brides room is gorgeous!) I serious felt royal. The cute ladies in the temple were so sweet and kept making me stare at myself in the mirror as they went on and on about how pretty I looked. haha They were the cutest.

Me and Scottie then made our way out of the temple and we were welcomed by all our other friends and family and a huge gust of wind. haha It was freezing, but we didn't care at all.  It was such an amazing morning nothing could really ruin it for us.

Then came family pictures and lots of hugs.  We tried to do it efficiently so nobody froze to death.  We then all headed to the luncheon where we just got to talk and enjoy delicious food!

Our reception started at 7pm so we had a little bit of setting up to do.  But thanks to all my friends and family me and Scottie didn't have to do much at all besides show up! We were actually a little bit late to our own reception... haha but nobody can be mad because it's our wedding right?? ha The reception was perfect. We didn't have a line, so we were able to just walk around and mingle and enjoy everything. We were having so much fun that we actually stayed an hour later than planned... And then I had to go finish packing for the honeymoon! (shows how crazy the past few days were) So we ran to my house and just threw everything we could see in a suitcase and off we went. :)

It really was the best day.  And I can't even begin to thank everyone for everything they did to make it the perfect day.  I will probably never realize how much work went into it. But I am SO grateful.  Being married is absolutely the best thing I've ever done. :)
